Three-year old Danielle and Alex were fixed on the ice dance team's every move. Arm in arm they imitated Grishuk and Platov gliding across the floor in their socks as Grishuk and Platov skated across the ice. "We want to be skater-dancers, we want to be skater-dancers", the twins screeched in unison. Evgeny Platov, who inspired the twins at the early age of three, continues to inspire them today, choreographing their free dance for the past two years and now again this coming season. When Alex Esman arranged to have Evgeny Platov choreograph our 2006-2007 Season Free Dance, it was nothing short of a dream come true. At three, we were gliding across the floor in our socks pretending we were Evgeny Platov and his partner Pasha Grishuk. Evgeny was our early life inspiration. His talent, technical excellence and speed are legendary. Along with his partner Pasha Grishuk, Evgeny won 3 European titles, 4 World Championships and the Olympic gold medal for ice dance in both 1994 and 1998. This year Evgeny has continued to work with us beyond developing our free dance choreography. We've traveled to New Jersey many times to train with him and his senior teams to refine our technical skills and program elements. Danielle and Alex: We were drawn to ice dancing more than any other skating discipline from the beginning. Even though we watched freestyle and pairs along with our parents, it was ice dance that really got our attention more than anything else. In fact, we used to pretend we were ice dancers like Evgeny Platov and Pasha Grishuk whom we watched on TV during the 1996 World Championships. Our Mom says, one day when we were three years old, we came running into the kitchen screaming, "We want to be skater dancers, we want to be skater dancers." There was never any question about what we wanted. It was really always Ice Dance. Watching Evgeny Platov and Pasha Grishuk at a young age really inspired us to dance; so having had Evgeny Platov develop the choreography for our 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 free dance has been an incredible experience for us.

GP: Женя работает хореографом, не постоянно. Про новый сезон еще не знаю.
Oxi: Аааа, он у них хореограф а тренеры другие (Alexander Esman, Marina Koulbitskaya).
Oxi: Ну ничего, подростут и перейдут к нему наверное насовсем.
